You've successfully built a bridge that bypasses the browser's security restrictions during development. Now, we must prepare our React application to handle the dynamic data that will soon flow across that bridge. So far, our `App.js` component has been static. It simply assembles other static components. To make it truly interactive—to fetch data, show a loading message, display the results, or report an error—our component needs a memory. In React, this internal memory is called **state**. ### From Static Props to Dynamic State You've already worked with **props**, which are used to pass data *down* from a parent component to a child (like a read-only instruction manual). **State**, on the other hand, is data that is managed *within* a component and can change over time in response to user actions or network events. When a component's state changes, React automatically re-renders the component to reflect those changes on the screen. To manage the process of fetching weather data, our `App` component needs to keep track of three crucial pieces of information: 1. **The weather data itself:** Has the data arrived?
